Smart Pools

What makes a pool smart? Ask Dan Essig, president of Essig Pools, home of the Smart Pool. “We strive to give our customers the very best, and therefore, every pool we build incorporates the fundamentals of the Smart Pool package: special high-end equipment to maximize energy efficiency, upgraded structural specifications to make the pool stronger, commercial quality safety features, and extended warranties on important components,” he says.

The way the experts at Essig Pools handle each project also contributes to the company’s continued success and countless referrals. From the very beginning, all aspects of the soon-to-be-built oasis are discussed. The possibility of pool-enhancing extras, like a spa and/or sumptuous water features, are addressed, as are options for wireless automation, complementary decking, and landscaping. Once all of the details are finalized, an experienced in-house construction supervisor manages the project from beginning to end. The supervisor oversees a team of skilled craftsmen—all of whom have plenty of showstopping poolscapes decorating their portfolios.

The company’s designs have been featured and praised in numerous national industry publications. Pool and spa professionals from across the United States chose Essig Pools as one of the top 50 pool builders in the nation. Not surprisingly, Essig Pools is also a member of Aquatech, an invitation-only society comprised of the most distinguished pool companies.

Essig Pools has built a reputation based on a commitment to the highest quality of workmanship and an ability to provide exceptional value. Dan Essig taught classes on Pool Construction at Miami Dade Community College, is a past president of both the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) and the County Chapter President of the Florida Swimming Pool Association (FSPA). He serves on the Associated Swimming Pool Industries of Florida’s (ASPI) local board for more than 15 years, and was on the regional board of the FSPA for many years.
